success of the young People's Party

  • Free HPV vaccination up to 21 years and post-vaccination up to 30 years.
  • harder penalties in the event of abuse and gap in the ban on activity.

Another important step was to lift the blood donation ban for homosexuals and the introduction of the school subject of digital basic education. These initiatives illustrate the commitment of the JVP to promote the quality of life and the rights of the young generation in Austria.

Claudia Plakolm, the first Secretary of State of Youth in Austria, has initiated numerous important initiatives under her leadership that affect both youth and society as a whole. This includes, among other things, the increase in Federal Youth Promotion and the introduction of the care theory. Plakolm's constant commitment has contributed significantly to the positive development of the JVP.

historical development and future perspectives

The JVP was founded in 1945 as a "Austrian youth movement" and has since developed into an equal partial organization of the ÖVP. This organization has changed significantly over the years and has been adapted to the political conditions, whereby it has always taken pro -European positions. The appointment of Toni Grünsteidl as deputy general secretary is another step for the JVP into a promising future.

The JVP has also recognized itself in the past through strong leaders such as Silvia Grünberger and Sebastian Kurz, who have left their mark on Austrian politics. With a solid basis for members and a clear political agenda, the young people's party is ready to tackle the challenges of the future and to continue to represent the interests of young people in Austria. In this context, the upcoming National Council election is of particular importance in 2024, in which Plakolm will take second place on the ÖVP federal list.
