In Lower Austria, the need for qualified nursing staff is growing to alarming dimensions because the population is getting older. From March 2025, 150 people from Vietnam will be trained at the newly founded IMC "International Nursing Center" in Krems in the nursing assistant. After successfully completing the training, the graduates secured a job directly with the Lower Austrian State Health Agency, such as OE24. State Councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister described the greeting of the first 41 trainees as a "historical moment" and emphasized the dedication of future nursing staff.
