Globart: Art and discussion for a better future!
St. Pölten, Österreich - Fabian Burstein takes over the management of the Globart art and cultural initiative and thus follows Jakob Brossmann, who has shaped a significant transformation of the organization as a “Association for Discursive Practice” in recent years. Brossmann remains Globart for special projects and is praised for his relevant contributions, such as the organization of the interdisciplinary festival "Days of Transformation" in the Melk Abbey and the "Tipping Time" climate conference in St. Pölten. Burstein, an experienced cultural manager with an international background, sees this new task a way to promote creative and socio -political discourses. "I can't imagine a better place for a new task," said the 42-year-old. He emphasizes the necessary connection between art and culture with current social issues, which is particularly relevant in times of multiple crises, such as Fürse
The mission of Globart under new leadership
The task that Globart wants to tackle under Burstein is to create rooms for dialogue and creative encounters. Burstein plans to further develop the existing program and relies on a game and experimental approach. The annual Globart Academy is converted into a festival and the world climate game is implemented as part of the activities. "Fear paralyzes, joy and enthusiasm forward," he explains. Burstein would like to ensure that art and culture are not only perceived as a supply station for what is happening in society, but actively contribute to the solution of current problems.
"The multiple crises have long been questions of our present," Brossmann found clear words and recalled that the company had to think fundamentally by 2030 in order to achieve a drastic reduction in emissions. Globart has established itself as a platform in recent years that brings creative approaches into social discourse/and brings together various perspectives. The focus on diversity and intergenerational exchange, as in the scholarship programs for young people between the ages of 18 and 30, is considered central by both directors. This is also evident in the commitment of the organization in schools and in cooperation with various social movements.
