The castle has been empty since 2022, after the construction work that started before the 2020 pandemic came to a standstill through challenges such as the Ukraine decline and massive construction crises. While the castle was originally designed as an attractive winery with a winery, vinotheque and gastronomy, the situation has now changed drastically. Nevertheless, there are small progress: The windows of the castle are now to be re -enacted, which gives hope for a possible revival of the project, such as the Rhein-Zeitung reported.

In a festive framework in the Livia Forum in Leiwen, the 23-year-old prevailed against her competitors and convinced the 270 guests. Together with the Moselle wine princess Paula Sophie Scherrer, Maja Treis and Anne van Dongen, she will represent the Moselle wine-growing region by September 2025, as the Mosel.de . Anna Zenz comes from a family of winegrowers who also runs a restaurant and a distillery, and combines her passion for wine with her professional career as an insurance clerk and prospective student.
