New mayor Feldmeyer: Iggingen blooms!
Iggingen. Tobias Feldmeyer, has been impressively established in the municipality after half a year. During a walk through the town, he is greeted and personally addressed by the citizens - a sign of his successful integration. Feldmeyer, who succeeded Klemens Stöckle, emphasizes the importance of a good handover and the positive chemistry between him and his predecessor. "We had a good handover," he says, stating that the familiarization was optimal through numerous joint appointments with those responsible for the community.
Feldmeyer is not only active as a mayor, but also as a project manager. The expansion of the Brainkofen industrial area has been completed, and now the focus is on settling new companies that create jobs. It is particularly important to him that these companies fit into the community. In addition, the broadband expansion in Iggingen is promoted faster than originally planned. The main town should be supplied with fast internet by the end of 2025, which will significantly increase the quality of life.
Financial Location and Development Span>
The municipality of Iggingen currently remains debt-free, but Feldmeyer warns of a closer financial situation due to rising district levies and the loss of residents. "Debts are not bad per se," he emphasizes and sees investments as the key to the future. Projects such as a new fire brigade house are scheduled, which are expected to lead to a certain debt. The demand for living space is high, and although no building sites are currently available, Feldmeyer is planning a healthy inner development.
The gastronomy in the newly renovated office building is well received by the citizens and offers an important meeting point. Despite the challenges in medical care, Feldmeyer is optimistic and is looking forward to upcoming festivals who will strengthen the sense of community. "That was the right way for the community," he sums up proudly.
