New old mill in Eschborn: gastronomy opening in the summer of 2025!

The renovation work at the Alte Mühle in Eschborn is progressing according to the plan, such as the fnp.de reported. Mayor Adnan Shaikh was optimistic that the schedule will be met and emphasizes that the farm is currently being opened to lay lines for electricity, water and heating. In the new year, the expansion measures are to be continued inside the buildings. The completion of the work and the opening of the planned gastronomy are planned for the summer of 2025.

In the past, there have been delays due to difficulties with the sanitary planner, but these have now been made up for. The renovation budget amounts to a total of 6.2 million euros and includes both the listed parts of the old mill, such as the main building and the gatehouse, as well as new parts of the building.

planned use and gastronomy

A new corner house will be set up, which will offer space for two 44 square meters of large multi -purpose rooms that can be used for events. A connection between the new building and the main building is planned to accommodate the kitchen of the restaurant. There will be several smaller guest rooms in the main building that offer space for 50 to 60 guests. Additional tables and chairs are planned for the outdoor area in summer.

The gate building is also to be used as a wedding room. The future tenant, Robert Walch, is planning a home -style, regional cuisine with varied offers. Homemade cakes and cakes are to be offered on weekends, the gastronomy will be open all day. The weekday opening times are not yet fixed because they depend on the personnel situation.

The renovation of the old mill has been planning for some time. As the City of Eschborn , the office S + P Architects was commissioned in October 2020. The tender was based on a decision by the city council from autumn 2019. The aim of the measures is to complete the existing building as well as the supplement by two connecting buildings and a new house.

The historic restoration of the historical buildings that are noticeable is not possible due to a lack of documents, but the new buildings are designed in coordination with the monument protection authorities in order to match the overall picture of the location. In addition to the catering trade, the tenant's office and apartments are also to be accommodated in the main building, while multifunctional areas in the new corner house are intended for celebrations or seminars. Access to the old mill is also designed for the disabled, with 20 parking spaces on the outer edge of the orchards and 30 bicycle parking spaces along the street on the Alte Mühle.
