Museumsquartier Starnberg: Five floors instead of six - a new plan!
Museumsquartier Starnberg: Five floors instead of six - a new plan!
Bahnhofstraße 1, 82319 Starnberg, Deutschland - The dream of the new museum district in Starnberg finally takes shape! The project developer Ehret+Klein has revised its plans for the district construction project and recently received approval at the start of the development plan procedure. Florian Pipo, district developer at Ehret+Klein, was enthusiastic: "Now nothing stands in the way of realizing this project!" The last changes stipulate that the building on Bahnhofstrasse, instead of originally six floors, will now only have five floors. This decision was noted by the members of the Starnberg Building Committee with a mostly praise, especially since they were able to adapt the height levels to the requirements, such as Merkur reported.
The project includes innovative architectural planning, which consists of three interconnected buildings and will offer areas for apartments, offices, catering and cultural events. The draft, which aims at sustainable and ecological construction methods, is realized by the team of architect Beer Bembé Dellinger and Burkhardt Engelmayer Mendel landscape architects. This includes the use of wood and the installation of photovoltaic systems on the roofs. The plans also provide for green areas to improve the city climate. The construction work is scheduled to begin in 2025, and the completion is planned for 2027, such as Klein announced.
The anticipation for the museum quarters is great, especially since the location between the railway line, the local museum and Bahnhofstrasse was broke for a long time. A temporary building, which is called the "cradle of Starnberg" and encompasses a magenta -colored wooden staircase, already enables a view of Lake Starnberg and attracts the interest of the residents. With this design, the district is intended to linger a new meeting point for the population and an attractive place to linger, which promotes the connection to nature and the surrounding area.
