A popular Bad Nauheimer Café closes: Fellini says Adieu!
Bad Nauheim, Deutschland - The "Fellini" restaurant in Bad Nauheim closes on January 31, 2025. Pasquale Albergamo, the owner, has already initiated the reduction of the restaurant and is currently selling the interior. Around 80 percent of the facility have already been sold. The closure of the popular café is perceived as a big loss for the city. Albergamo plans a dignified farewell and does not want to make a mourning mood.
The Sphinx, the restaurant's mascot, is brought back to the Max Planck Institute. Albergamo, who lives above the café, has given notice of 30 employees. He regrets that he could not hand over the "Fellini" to a successor, since the rental contract expires at the end of 2025 and no perspective for continuing the catering instinct could be found. Gastronomy is no longer desirable in the house, which made it difficult to search for a successor.
rituals and outlook on the future
Albergamo, who crossed the "seventy", describes his morning rituals in the café as a silent, wonderful moments. The "Fellini" has been a popular meeting place for guests of all ages in Bad Nauheim over the years. Albergamo took over the premises in 2010 from the Dorothee Powilleit flower house, with the aim of creating a coffee house as a meeting place. He invested six digits in the room and put together the interior himself.
he plans to travel between Bad Nauheim, Sicily and other places in the future. In February and March everything has to be dismantled, including the kitchen and interior. While Albergamo has a Sphinx that he would like to set up in another location, he leaves open whether the "Fellini" may be revived at another location if suitable rooms are available. Like fnp , the gastronomy in the building was no longer desired, which further favored the closure.
