The Pizzeria chain L’Osteria, which was founded in Nuremberg exactly 25 years ago, celebrates its anniversary with an impressive expansion and a success story that enriched the European eating culture. Originally started on Pirckheimerstrasse, today the chain now comprises almost 200 branches in nine European countries and employs over 6,000 people. The founders, Klaus Rader and Friedemann Findeis, took over the local restaurant and accepted some challenges, such as the sudden disappearance of the cook after the takeover, which forced the two to concentrate on simple Italian dishes, as from Merkur reported.

These strategic steps were supported by an investment by the American investor McWin, who recently took over two thirds of the company, while cycling and finding will remain active in corporate management.
