Grief for Kurt Nessel: GAK loses his goal scorer hero
Graz, Österreich - Mourning is the order of the day in Austrian football. The GAK (Graz athletic Sports club) has to announce the surprising death of his former star Kurt Nessel. The sought-after goal scorer died at the age of 62, but details about the exact circumstances of his death remain in the dark, as laola1.at . Nessel, who spent his most successful time with the "red jackets", was a fixture in the Bundesliga with 112 missions and also scored remarkable 45 goals for SV Flavia Solva in the second highest league. Despite his impressive career, however, he stayed in the national team without missions, but crowned himself in the 1984/85 season for the top scorer of Admiral 2nd League.
contradictory minds at the Bundesliga clubs
While the GAK hurts grief about the loss of a club idol, the TSV Hartberg jubilee mood. With three consecutive victories, the new trainer Manfred Schmid has already set a record in his first three league games, as krone.at . At the debut, Schmid celebrated a 3-2 win against his ex-club WAC and now leads the team to an impressive series of seven competitive games without defeat.
The GAK, on the other hand, struggles in the table with its miserable location and is still without a win after a further failure against Austria Vienna. Trainer Gernot Messner sees the location tense and the frustration among the players rises. The team has to prove itself in the upcoming games against Sturm, Rapid and Salzburg in order to get out of the deep crisis again. The GAK managers recognize that a clear solution, possibly a change of coach, could be necessary to bring a breath of fresh air to the team.
