CEEPUS IV: New opportunities for students in Central and Eastern Europe!

In a significant development for the academic world, the CEEPUS mobility program (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) was completed by ÖVP science spokesman. Prof. Rudolf Taschner emphasized as crucial for the deepening of scientific cooperation between Austria and Central, East and Southeast Europe. In a meeting of the Science Committee on March 12, 2025, the planned extension of the program was announced, which will come into force on April 30, 2025 under the name CEEPUS IV. This represents an evolutionary continuation of the previous CEEPUS III program and has significant new possibilities, including the introduction of "blended mobility", a concept that combines physical mobility with digital learning forms, as on ots.at was reported.

The Ceepus program already has 15 member countries, including Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria and many others. These nations can work together as equal partners, which offers a unique advantage that other European programs do not offer. The funding aims to support academic development for students and teachers by giving them the opportunity to live and teach in the participating countries, such as the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) on oead.at explained. Institutions must submit an application for funding by November 30th to become part of the networks at faculty or institute level.
