Fixed dinner for homeless: DM shows charity at Christmas time!
In the run-up to Christmas, a good cause is again ensured: In cooperation with Bio Austria, the DM Drogerie Markt is organizing a large feast for the homeless person. This Austria-wide social action takes place for the sixth time, in which around 2,000 people receive a festive three-course menu in 37 social institutions. As the managing director of DM, Harald Bauer, emphasizes, it is about giving these disadvantaged people not only through food, but also through an atmospheric ambience. "We want these people to not be forgotten during the holidays," he added.
To support this initiative, DM customers can pay a donation of five euros at the cashier. As meinbezirk.at , have already come together impressive 328,360 euros since the start of the campaign. Much of these donations are handed over directly to the participating facilities to promote their projects and necessary investments. In addition, the donors receive Christmas embroidery cards in various motifs as a thank you.
commitment is also shown in the preparation of the dishes, which is often adopted by volunteers, including DM employees. The company provides fresh organic ingredients for this, while the supply of vegetables and meat is guaranteed by cooperation with Bio Austria. "This initiative shows that every person, regardless of their situation, should have access to high -quality and unadulterated foods," said Barbara Riegler, chairwoman of Bio Austria. The entire commitment should not only contribute to the support of the needy throughout the Advent season, but all year round, as Presseext reports.
