Raid on folk solidarity: Millions of fraud in Querfurt revealed!
Querfurt, Sachsen-Anhalt, Deutschland - Querfurt (Saxony-Anhalt)- A scandal shakes the folk solidarity of Saale-Kyffhäuser! Instead of taking care of the needy, the managers are said to have enriched themselves. The public prosecutor's office in Halle/Saale carried out a raid on Thursday in the offices of the welfare association!
The investigators searched all rooms and covered a shocking suspicion: at least two million euros are said to have flowed into the own pockets of those responsible! The folk solidarity, one of the largest welfare associations in East Germany with over 100,000 members and around 20,000 employees, is at the center of these criminal machinations.

As reports by the "Mitteldeutsche Zeitung", three high -ranking members of the association is suspected: the CEO, his deputy and the authorized representative. These are said to have collected excessive salaries between 2019 and 2024, while a managing director, who died in the summer, was also involved in the machinations. The damage amounts to at least two million euros!
The public prosecutor suspects that funds from different areas, including daycare centers and nursing services, were branched off and the financial rivers were cleverly veiled. A total of eight objects were searched, including the headquarters in Querfurt, the private apartments of the accused and other premises in Thuringia. In the searches, important documents and data carriers were confiscated, which are now evaluated.
