The Salzburg Museum on Hiking
While the Salzburg Museum is being renovated, it relies on "guest performances" to continue to present art. This strategy led to 150,000 visitors last year, while the anticipation for the new museum for "The Sound of Music" is increasing. Part of the Pluijm collection is already being exhibited in Leopoldskron Castle. From February 26, 2025, you will receive an insight into the history of the film, which will also be taken into account as part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary. In addition to the "Sound of Music" guest game, further exhibitions are planned, including "Rar & Bizarr", which are shown in the State Gallery.
Martin Hochleitner, director of the Salzburg Museum, emphasizes that every guest performance gives an answer to the respective exhibition location and its special features. This flexibility enables the museum to present broad access to art and cultural history, which also includes the connection between the region and international flair. During the anticipation for the opening in Hellbrunn, the museum remains active and shows that love for art and culture, even in times of change, remains alive, as the reporting of pitch culture suggests.
