Pure nostalgia: Hello Spencer celebrates its comeback on ZDF!

A timeless classic returns! "Hello Spencer", the legendary children's series, which was produced by the NDR from 1979 to 2001, is now reinterpreted in the form of a film. Over 275 episodes enjoyed great popularity over the years. The new film, commissioned by ZDF, is entitled "Hello Spencer - The Film" and was helped to shape by the well -known satirist Jan Böhmermann. Böhmermann, a confessed fan of the series, brought his expertise into the script and even guest the inventor of the series, Winfried Debertin, in his program "ZDF Magazin Royale", which makes the connection to the project even more, as Krzbb.de reported.

in the heart of the film is Jakob Sesam (played by Rainer Bock), the inventor of the Spencer Universe. The nostalgic character lives in an old club, the Coconut Cave, and tries to keep his beloved dolls, including Spencer and his friends, from the loss. His landlady Peggy (Victoria Trautttmansdorff) plans to convert the building into a retirement home. In order not to lose everything, Jakob decides to make a film to collect the necessary sum of ten million euros in a short time. This journey back to the roots of the puppet show not only offers a homage to art from puppet playing, but also asks the question of what value this art form has in today's world. "Hello Spencer" will be available in the ZDF media library from December 13th and will also be broadcast on ZDF Neo on December 25th at 8:15 p.m. and on December 27th at 11:45 p.m. href = "https://www.zdf.de/filme/filme-sonstige/hallo-pencer--der-film-100.html" class = "source_2"> zdf.de .

The film plays cleverly with melancholy and nostalgia of the 80s, which gives Böhmermann's satirical influence an additional level. It remains to be seen whether he can actually bring back the spirit and the joy of "Hello Spencer", but the anticipation among fans is already noticeable.
