Friedrich-Schmidt-Platz 1, 1010 Wien, Österreich - On March 8, 2025, the Vienna City Hall becomes the setting for an impressive event on the occasion of International Women's Day. Under the motto "Open Rathaus", visitors can expect a varied free program from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Vice -Mayor and Councilor for women Kathrin Gaál invites all Viennese to get involved in around 200 events of the Wiener Women's Week. The program includes workshops, tours, live acts and information stands on important topics such as women's policy, education, violence protection and much more. On March 8, visitors to the open town hall can not only attend tours on topics such as “Ways of women through the town hall” and an exhibition on the subject of violence protection, but also visit the Pioneer Gallery in the Arkadenhof. This shows women who have provided extraordinary achievements, like the swimmer Judith Deutsch-Haspel. Another highlight of the day is the final clubbing in the Volkshalle, which is organized by Early Eve and lasts until 11:30 p.m. Here DJ Mel Merio creates an exuberant atmosphere, while the participants can celebrate and dance, such as Wienerfrauenwoche.at reports.
In addition, a film is shown that deals with the topic of domestic violence, and visitors have the opportunity to find out about the topics and girls about health and living advice.
