Festival fever in Saarbrücken: 151 films start the race!
Saarbrücken, Deutschland - The renowned Max Ophüls Prize Festival takes place this year with an exciting selection. A total of 151 films are shown, including 57 competitive contributions. Festival manager Svenja Böttger describes the announcement of the films as an exciting milestone that promotes exchange among filmmakers and spectators. A total of prices worth around 130,000 euros are available, which will be awarded on January 25th. There are many debuts among the 24 new game and documentary films, the return of Windischbauer, which was recognized as the best young acting in 2022, is particularly remarkable.
This year there are exciting topics at the focus of competitive contributions, including family loyalty, loss and gender identity.
