Beatles in Obertauern: An anniversary full of nostalgia and concerts!
Obertauern, Österreich - January 1965 was a highlight for music history: the Beatles came to Salzburg and not only left musical traces, but also numerous photographs from this historical visit. The photographer Christian Skrein, then 19 years old, documented the arrival of the famous group and the shooting of her film "Help!", Which was carried out in Obertauern between 13 and 22 March 1965. These unique recordings have recently been seen in an exhibition at the Salzburg Museum
The spectacular photo exhibition by Skrein shows 40 handpicked photographs that hold the Beatles up close in Salzburg and Obertauern. The pictures are not only important time documents, but also masterpieces of a young photographer; They illustrate both the enthusiastic amount of fan and more intimate moments of the Beatles during their stay. Skrein remembered that he had photographed the group at the airport while arriving at the airport, a picture that he particularly appreciates. The exhibition not only illustrates the influence of the Beatles on the culture of the 1960s in Austria, but also the development of a photographic talent.
