Two fast kitchen fires in Düsseldorf: fire brigade prevents worse!
On Wednesday afternoon, March 5, 2025, the danger broke out in the Düsseldorf districts of Hassels and Benrath at the same time: two kitchen fires! When the fire brigade arrived in Hassels around 11:50 a.m., concerned callers had activated the fire detectors. A kitchen fire had broken out in an apartment building, which could be quickly brought under control. Thanks to the courageous intervention of the fire brigade, the neighboring apartments were spared in front of the smoke and fire. Nobody was injured, the emergency services immediately initiated the extinguishing work and were able to contain the fire.
Just 30 minutes later, the next emergency call was entered into via a beginning kitchen fire in Pigageallee in Benrath. Here it was unclear whether the resident was still in the apartment, which led to an immediate large alarm for several units of the fire brigade and the emergency services. When the first emergency services arrived, however, the apartment was already evacuated, and the fire could quickly be brought under control. In this case too, there were no injuries, and after about half an hour all around 40 emergency services were back at their locations.

The mismanagement or the non-recognition of these dangers can have fatal consequences that go beyond the affected apartments.
