Fantastic concert ends in chaos: spectators in Semperoper suffer!
Dresden, Deutschland - In the Dresden Semperoper, there were dramatic scenes on Tuesday evening (December 17) during a concert when several spectators suddenly complained of nausea, dizziness and breathing problems. The emergency doctors were immediately alerted after a 62, 66 and 68 -year -old woman in need of treatment, one of them even collapsed. The fire brigade moved in with 37 emergency services, but four of the emergency services also showed similar symptoms, which led to the requirement of specialists with respiratory protection. Despite these alarming incidents, the fire brigade could not find any pollutants in the ambient air, and the oxygen content proved to be unobtrusive, like the Merkur reported.
The police initiated investigations into suspected physical injury and sent secured samples to a laboratory for analysis. The result of the laboratory tests is crucial, but as reported, it could take some time to get light into the dark. During the incidents, the audience was already in the final phase of the concert with the Saxon State Chapel led by Philippe Herrweghe. The evacuation of the building was not necessary and the event could be continued without major interruptions. The Tagesschau reported that the fire brigade urgently indicates the importance of choosing the emergency call 112 in similar symptoms.
