Shock moment on the Tauern motorway: fire brigade saves driver out of the trunk!

on the A10 Tauern motorway there was a dramatic traffic accident on Wednesday morning, which put the fire brigade and the emergency services on alert. A driver collided several times with the guiding rail on the Bischofshofen ramp and was unable to free herself from her vehicle due to her injuries. The accident occurred around 7.42 a.m. when the emergency services were called by the parish throwing fire brigade and throwing the scene of the accident. While the fire brigade secured the accident site, the Red Cross took care of the medical care of the injured woman, reported Meinzirk.at.

The situation was extremely difficult because the driver's door was blocked through the guiding rail and a rescue via the passenger side was not possible due to the serious injuries of the driver. This challenge required a quick decision by the emergency services, which together with an emergency doctor decided to save the driver across the trunk. To enable this, the back seat of the vehicle had to be removed. With the help of a showcase, the firefighters managed to safely free the driver from the predicament, as orf.at reported.
