Schulplatz, 69190 Hörbranz, Österreich - in Hörbranz, Vorarlberg, a spectacular incident was reported on December 19 when a 15 meter high Christmas tree suddenly overturned towards the church at 6.30 p.m. The incident was triggered by a violent gust of wind that could not be able to withstand the stable fired fir, which was secured in a metal ring and additionally with wooden wedges. Fortunately, only a few people stayed in the school pitch at the time of the scenery, which is why there was no injured. Only one street lamp was slightly damaged, such as 5min.at reported.
The rapid alarm by several witnesses meant that both the police and the fire brigade were quickly on hand to assess the situation and to initiate possible rescue measures. On site, the officials confirmed that the tree in the area of the anchoring had broken off, which underlined the drama of the incident. In heavy rain and adverse weather conditions, it was once again shown how unpredictable nature can be and how quickly a contemplative Christmas market can be a dangerous scenario, as can also be the Allgäuer Zeitung reported.
