Smoke over Marzahn: Fire brigade extinguishes fire in an empty apartment!

In a dramatic operation this morning, the Berlin fire brigade moved into Bärensteinstrasse after residents alerted. They had noticed dense smoke that was quolle from a window of an apartment building. The alarm was triggered around 11 a.m. when the fire brigade was called to a fire on the 7th floor of an eleven -storey house.

The emergency services found that furnishings were on fire in an uninhabited apartment. Thanks to the quick intervention by the Berlin fire brigade, supported by the Hellersdorf volunteer fire brigade, the fire was quickly deleted. Fortunately, there were no injuries, which is very lucky in such an incident.

Investigations into the cause of the fire

A specialist commissioner for fire offenses has started the investigation into the cause of the fire. So far, the exact circumstances of the outbreak are still unclear. The fire brigade will do everything possible to bring light into the dark and to clarify the background of this incident.
