Nikolaus campaign: Stuttgart fire brigade conjures up smiles to the Olgahospital

Olgahospital, Stuttgart, Deutschland - Stuttgart - On December 6, 2024, the height rescuers of the Stuttgart fire brigade transformed the Olgahospital into a true Christmas wonderland. Disguised as Santa Clauses, the brave rescuers floated down from a roof at dizzying 35 meters with a sack full of gifts and caused bright children's eyes. The enthusiastic little patients and their families were eagerly pursuing the spectacular abseiling and were happy about the subsequent distribution of sweets, which were presented in a festively decorated rescue carrier, as Fireworld reported.

The unique gifts are the result of a wonderful cooperation between the Stuttgart Clinic, the fire brigade and the "Olgäle Foundation for the sick Kind e.V.". The Santa Clauses were kindly provided by the Schauspielhaus Stuttgart. The campaign, which is not only a welcome change for the children, but also for the firefighters, was a valuable exercise for the height rescuers. "The bright children's eyes are the most beautiful wages for our efforts," emphasized Fabian Körner, one of the Nikoläus, in the words of stuttgartter News .

The medical director of the Center for Children, Youth and Women's Medicine, PD Dr. Thekla of Kalle emphasized the importance of this special event: "Every year it is the absolute highlight for our little patients and a welcome change in the run -up to Christmas." Axel Enninger, the medical director of the clinic, added: "This is an important memory: All people who work here in the hospital do so for all of our common good." The spectacular action not only celebrated the anticipation for Christmas, but also a sign of solidarity and hope in difficult times.
