New device car for disaster protection: Schaumburg strengthens emergency services!

In the heart of Lower Saxony, the DRK district association Schaumburg has received an important boost for disaster protection. According to SHG Aktuell , the authorities inform that the association has received a modern device car logistics as well as a trailer for the care service. The SPD member of the state parliament Jan-Philipp Beck was pleased with this decision of the state government, which was launched as part of a comprehensive "ad hoc package" to strengthen disaster protection after the Russian attack war on Ukraine. This program includes a promise of 40 million euros for the purchase of contemporary emergency vehicles to support the volunteer fire brigade and aid organizations.

The new device car is a robust, off -road vehicle that is able to drive through water up to one meter depth. In addition, the German Red Cross reports on its comprehensive social offers, which also focus on strengthening people who need support. The supporter for the care service will enable the emergency services to provide and accommodate those affected more efficiently in emergency situations. Both vehicles should not only improve the logistical capacities, but also serve to form the emergency services. Especially with regard to the upcoming holidays and the memory of the strong storms of the previous year, which numerous helpers mobilized, this equipment is considered an important contribution to the security of the community.

BECK expressly thanked all full-time and volunteers who work tirelessly for the well-being of the community, and emphasized the urgency to continuously update the means of resources and to adapt the challenges of the time. With these new vehicles, the DRK district association sees better perspectives for effective disaster protection in the Schaumburg region.
