On Saturday evening, December 7, 2024, a basement fire broke out in a house in the Saarbrücken district of St. Arnual. At 6:17 p.m., callers reported a thick smoke development that spread quickly in the stairwell of the building. The control center of the Saarland reacted immediately and alerted the volunteer fire brigade and the Saarbrücken professional fire brigade.
