Pöttsching, Österreich - In the night of April 4, 2025, Pöttsching experienced a dramatic commitment of the fire brigade in Burgenland. At 02:00 a.m., alarm level B3 was proclaimed for a farm building with hay and straw, which was already in full fire when the emergency services arrived. According to Fireworld , seven breathing protection teams were mobilized to cope with the situation.
The Pöttsching volunteer fire brigade led the effort, supported by other weirs from Krensdorf, Neudörfl, Zillingtal, Mattersburg and Rust. The latter was used for fire monitoring with a drone.
