In a dramatic traffic accident in the Saale-Holzland district, a 20-year-old woman was seriously injured on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred on the state road near Gernwitz when the driver of a Skoda got right onto the banquets and tried to counteract. However, she came up with the opposite lane, where there was a frontal collision with an oncoming Volkswagen. The 20-year-old had to be released from her vehicle by the fire brigade and was brought to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, such as Jenaer Nachrichten reported.

The VW driver suffered minor injuries, while another driver who drove behind the VW and left the right to the right was unharmed.
