Voluntary fire brigade Neuhaus-Untermühl secures the future through fusion!
Untermühl, Österreich - On December 1, 2024, the last general assembly of the volunteer fire brigade (FF) Neuhaus-Untermühl took place, which was led by commander Gerhard Fölser. At this event, not only important reviews of the many activities of the year were given, but also pronounced significant honors. Max Kaufmann was praised as a new member, while Johann Pühringer and Franz Thorwartl for 60 years, as well as Ernst Gahleitner for 50 years and Gerhard Fölser for 40 years of membership. The district medal fire brigade in gold went to Fölser and his deputy Bernhard Haindorfer. The event impressively showed the commitment and tradition of the fire brigade in the region, such as meinzirk.at reported.
fusion as a necessary step
A central point of the meeting was the decision to merge with the FF Plöcking to ensure the visibility and efficiency of the fire brigade in Untermühl in the long term. This merger was considered inevitable to secure the continued existence of the FF Neuhaus-Untermühl. Immediately after the meeting, the majority of the team concluded the transition to the FF Plöcking, which means that the water service in Untermühl remains stationed. This was also emphasized in a report on ff.untermuehl.com
In addition, the most important missions of the previous year were recognized. In 2022, the fire brigade mastered 12 technical and 6 fire operations. In order to be optimally equipped for future missions, various exercises, including human rescue from rough terrain, fire fighting on the water and diving, were carried out. The Zillen crew achieved the national victory at the Upper Austria State Water Resort in Niederranna, which further demonstrates the performance and team spirit of the fire brigade.
