Fire drama in Mitterreith: Two cats die at home fire
In the quiet town of Mitterreith, a devastating fire was reported in a family home, which was the third fire -proof use for the local fire departments within a week. The alarmed fire brigades, including Escababruck, Friedersbach and Zwettl-Stadt, were sent to Mitterreith by Florian Niederösterreith in order to cope with the flames that had already taken the roof and parts of the upper floor, as Meinzärt reported.
The quick action of the emergency services was crucial, because when it arrived the roof skin was already in flames. Exposure attacks began immediately from the outside; The Steig Zwettl fire brigade team was used to open the roof and initiate further extinguishing measures. Thanks to this decision, they were also able to carry out an internal attack under heavy respiratory protection, whereby they quickly made effective progress, according to the reporting from noe.orf.at.
sad loss of pets
Unfortunately, every help for two cats came too late, despite the intensive attempts to resuscitate the rescue workers. The emotional burden for the fire brigade and the residents was great. In order to prevent the fire from flare up again, the Mitterreith fire brigade set up a fire security guard, while a total of 104 fire brigade members from nine different fire brigades were deployed. The cooperation between the firefighters, the police and the Red Cross was particularly appreciated by the emergency services.
