On May 15, 2025, there was a devastating fire at a company premises in the Steyr-Land district, Upper Austria around 7:05 a.m. A total of 48 cars were destroyed in this fire. A concrete wall and an adjacent building were also damaged by the flames. The first alarmed emergency services belonged to the fire brigades Dietach, Wolfern and Losensteinleiten, who hurried to the fire site with a contingent of 38 firefighters and 8 vehicles. Thanks to their quick and coordinated use, they managed to prevent the fire from spreading to an office building and a neighboring company.
The fire brigade currently suspects that the fire was "caused by a high probability by bringing a ignition source". Investigations into the exact cause of the fire have already been initiated.
