Fire in Hohenems: Technical defect triggers fire to house facade!
In Hohenems, there were two remarkable Fire events on Wednesday, which had various causes and resulted in extensive operations between rescue and fire brigade. In the afternoon, the police were informed about a fire of a wooden stack on the facade of a house. Thanks to the fast action of neighbors, the fire could already be deleted before the fire brigade arrived. According to Vol.at , the fire was caused by a technical defect in a light bulb, which caused only low damage to the outer facade. The Hohenems fire brigade was on site with three vehicles and 25 emergency services, supported by the Hohenems rescue crew and the Altach fire brigade.
The police reached another alarm message some time later when fireworks on Breitenberg lit a 20 square meter grass area in Hohenems. Unknowns had probably burned down a fireworks at a fireplace, which led to a fire about 100 meters below the spot. The assignment was challenging due to the steep terrain, which is why two members of the mountain rescue had to be roped to the fire site in order to optimally support the fire brigade, such as Schwäbische.de reported. Around 80 firefighters, additional support from a drone with a thermal imaging camera and various emergency services mastered the fire that could be deleted after four and a half hours.
