A Christmas gratitude: District Administrator visits Savior in Bad Hersfeld
On Christmas Eve 2024, District Administrator Torsten Warnecke took the opportunity to express his thanks to the tireless rescuers and helpers in Bad Hersfeld and the surrounding area. While most people prepare for the festival, many rescue workers work to provide quick support in urgent cases. This is done in a region where the holidays do not mean a break for the police, fire brigade and other services, as well as hna reported.
District Administrator Warnecke visited 13 stations that day, including the DRK rescue station on the European Route, the police station on Kleine Industriestrasse and other important facilities. He was accompanied by Mayor Anke Hofmann on his tour. The district administrator's company car was filled to the brim with gifts that were presented to the emergency services as a small sign of appreciation. The team of the DRK rescue station, which had a shift that evening, was easy and well launched, while the city was prepared for the festive season, such as the Hersfelder Zeitung added.
a special thanks for lifesaver
The tour of the district administrator is an estimated tradition that has been established in recent decades. The emergency services are also ready on days like Christmas to react quickly when emergencies occur. In particular, a serious motorcycle accident caused additional missions to the police during the Christmas Eve, while the forces in the town hall also tackled the needy at a special celebration. This event brought together over 130 guests, which means almost a doubling compared to the previous year, a sign of the growing need for community actions.
