Roofing fire in Wullersdorf: 78 firefighters in constant use!
In the early morning of April 7, 2025, at 5:50 a.m., several fire brigades in Oberstinkenbrunn, a municipality in Wullersdorf, Lower Austria, were alerted. The use was triggered by a roof truss fire in connection with a garage, which was in full swing when the emergency services arrived. The roof structure of the garage and the adjacent barn were on fire, which required immediate measures.
The operations manager Andreas Kerschl coordinated the extinguishing measures carried out by several sides. One of the first steps was to save a vehicle from the garage. An initial suspicion of an affected oil tank was not confirmed. In order to control the situation, the emergency services used respiratory protection teams because there was a strong smoke development. In addition, thermal imaging cameras and a drone were used. The aerial ladder of the Hollabrunn fire brigade was also on standby.
operational results and measures
Thanks to the coordinated procedure, the fire could be limited to the barn and preventing other buildings from spreading. Around 78 fire brigade members from various weirs, including Hollabrunn, Immendorf, Maria Roggendorf, Nappersdorf, Oberstinkenbrunn, Schalladorf and Wullersdorf, were involved. While the extinguishing work was in full swing, the police started the cause of the fire.
