Brand attack in Nenzing: Unknown Kirchenbank light!
On Thursday evening there was a fire at around 6:30 p.m. in the parish church "St. Mauritius" in Nenzing, which was triggered by unknown perpetrators. These lit a pew, which was noticed by attentive church goers. They immediately alerted the fire brigade to prevent worse, as vorarlberg.orf.at reported.
The Mesner of the Church, who saw the fire in time, was able to largely extinguish the flames before the Nenzing volunteer fire brigade arrived. The firefighters completed the extinguishing work and ensured that there was no smoke in the church. Despite the rapid reaction, there was damage to the pew and some singing books, but the church remained otherwise intact, and luckily there were no injuries, such as Vol.at
police are looking for witnesses
