Brand in Wynau: a person injured, apartment building uninhabitable!
On Saturday afternoon, February 8, 2025, there was a violent fire in an apartment building on Höhenstrasse in Wynau. One person suffered injuries and had to be taken to the hospital, while five other residents were able to get to safety in good time, as the Bern cantonal police report. The emergency services were alerted shortly after 12.45 p.m. and found a blazing fire on the upper floor of the building.
The fire brigade of Langenthal, Murgenthal and Wynau was able to fought the flames successfully and prevent the fire from attacking adjacent houses and the surrounding nature. Despite the quick intervention, however, the apartment building was badly damaged and is considered to be uninhabitable.
