A dramatic incident occurred on the Deichweg on the Achterdiek in Oldenburg! On Sunday afternoon, a deep meter hole was discovered, which the fire brigade and the NLWKN called on the scene. The reason for this shocking collapse? A beaver dug a mysterious tube under the waterline that brought the earth to collapse! Attentive citizens reported the incident, and measures were immediately taken to secure the danger zone.

The emergency services of the professional fire brigade and representatives of the NLWKN were quickly on site to secure the damaged path and to lock them up to the rowing club. "The beaver dug this tube," said Hergen Oetken from NLWKN. Interestingly, the dike was only examined for damage a few weeks ago, and at that time the hole was not yet available! Nature shows itself from its unpredictable side.
