First Group Bank dominated media reporting in Austria 2024

The Erste Group Bank AG is the most media-present company under Austria's most present company in 2024. This analysis, conducted by APA-COMM, examined the reporting in the most important Austrian print media, news sites as well as on radio and television for a total of 20 listed companies over a period of eleven months. With an impressive number of 4,324 contributions, the first group clearly leads the ranking. Austrian Post AG follows 2,647 contributions, while OMV AG takes third place with 2,320 articles, as first Group reports.

The first Group consolidated its media dominance primarily with its commitment to sports sponsoring, especially at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna, which every sixth article mentions about the company. In comparison, Österreichische Post AG has improved its rank, despite a slight decline in the published articles. On the other hand, OMV recorded the strongest decline of 23 percent, while Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment AG had to accept the most serious loss with 45 percent and thus fell to the last place.
