The grand finale of 'Vienna Blood': a masterpiece full of secrets!
The popular crime series "Vienna Blood" is coming to an end and the last impressions are consistently positive. ORF general director Roland Weißmann described the show as a "piece of jewelry" that was in the creation for over 13 years. The idea of filming Frank Tallis' “Max Liebermann” novels comes from Klaus Lintschinger and has developed into international co-production over the years. Particularly noteworthy is the "Bromance" between the main actors Juergen Maurer and Matthew Beard, which offer the viewer both humorous and mysterious moments. According to the director Dağ, the Viennese flair at the beginning of the 20th century ensures the international success, which is supported by the great interaction of the actors, such as Zeitung reported.
A big secret awaits the viewers
In the final, which consists of two parts, there is a lot of emphasis on secrets and twists, which holds up the tension until the end. Director Dağ is looking forward to dissolving the great puzzle and emphasizing that the team's years of collaboration have created a basis of trust that enables it to work at a higher creative level. Maurer, who plays the role of Commissioner Oskar Rheinhardt, is overwhelmed by the international success of the series. The audience reactions even extend to Australia, where friends of him saw him on TV.
The decision to end the series after four seasons was considered necessary by the participants. Maurer expressed that things had to be let go and spoke positive about future projects. Nevertheless, producer Oliver Auspitz showed that he is not quite sure whether this is the final end for "Vienna Blood". "We let a small back door open", quotes Springer Auspitz, which makes fans of the series hope that a return could take place again.
