Zelenskyy urgently calls for patriot systems: Ukraine under pressure in the air war!

Zelenskyy demands more air defense, while Trump questions US help for Ukraine!

In the middle of the intensive air strikes of Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has drastically increased his demands for additional patriot air defense systems. The situation in Ukraine is becoming increasingly critical, and Zelenskyy leaves no doubt that his country needs more support to protect the civilian population.

"Ten or twelve additional patriot systems for Ukraine will ensure that no sliding bombs, no rockets and no ballistic rockets can hit the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine," said Zelenskyy in a passionate telegram contribution. He emphasizes that this would enable people to regain a normal life - schools and universities could be opened again, and the economy could recover.

Russia's air strikes increase

The situation is alarming: Last month, Russia used almost 500 sliding bombs and more than 400 drones against Ukraine. This massive offensive has reinforced the urgency of Zelenskyy's appeal. "This daily terror cannot remain the problem of a single people," continued the president.

The United States prioritized the delivery of newly built Patriot systems in June, which put the original customers in a waiting position. During the NATO summit in July, the partners agreed to make five additional patriot systems available to the Ukraine. But that is not enough to neutralize the threat from Russia.

In the past few days, the first five Danish F-16 fighter planes have already contributed to intercepting incoming rockets. Zelenskyy is also in conversations with French President Emmanuel Macron to accelerate the delivery of Mirage-Jets.

Trump and the uncertainty of US help

Trump recently met with Zelenskyy and Macron in Paris, where he urged the Ukrainian president to explain a ceasefire, but offered no security guarantees. Zelenskyy reacted to this by announcing that he will soon organize a meeting with a core group of European countries to coordinate help for Ukraine without mentioning the USA - a clear sign of concern.

Ukrainian external education, meanwhile, reports on EU members discussions about the establishment of a defense fund of 500 billion euros in the financing of Ukrainian defense and military expansion in Europe. Time is forced, because while Russia is making progress in the east of Ukraine, the situation for the civilian population is becoming more and more precarious.

The front lines in eastern Ukraine are tense and the Russian troops have made marginal progress in the past few days. In Pokrovsk and Kurakhove, two strategically important cities, Russia has mobilized enormous resources to conquer these villages.

The Ukrainian armed forces report violent fights, while the Russian losses have risen dramatically in the past two weeks. It is estimated that up to 11,240 Russian soldiers could have been fell or wounded in the past week - an alarming sign of the Russian military strategy.

The situation is tense and the world looks banned in developments in Ukraine. Zelenskyy's appeal for more support could be crucial to protect the civilian population and regain control of airspace. The coming days will be decisive, while the geopolitical tensions are further.
