Putin announces short Easter cafe rest in the Ukraine conflict
The Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared a short "Easter Waffleuk" in his conflict with Ukraine and announced that "all hostilities" will pause for a period of two days.
Details about the ceasefire
The fights in Russia will be discontinued on Saturday (11 a.m. et) until midnight on Monday (5 p.m. Sunday ET). Putin emphasized: "We assume that the Ukrainian side will follow our example."
destinations of the ceasefire
The ceasefire is supposed to help Russia check how seriously Kiev is interested in a ceasefire, Putin said. The statement on the part of Ukraine initially failed to materialize - CNN asked Kyiv for a statement. Previously, Russia had rejected a 30-day ceasefire offered by the USA that had accepted Ukraine.
