Regensburg celebrates: Gold award for cluster excellence!

The Cluster Mobility & Logistics in Regensburg was the only cluster in Bavaria to receive the exclusive "Gold Label" of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (EceI). This award represents the highest quality label for cluster initiatives and positions the technology cluster among the leading organizations in Europe. At a press conference, moderated by Mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer and State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt, the achievement was celebrated.

"Regensburg is now a cluster capital," said Maltz-Schwarzfischer and emphasized the city's sustainable cluster policy, which has been aiming for strengthening competitiveness since 1996. The EceI Gold Label, which is considered a "Excellence TÜV for cluster", was awarded to the cluster, which was able to demonstrate its quality based on strict criteria, including a comprehensive on-site assessment by external experts.

The award is valid for three years and is regularly checked by an audit. Alexander Rupprecht, managing director of R-Tech GmbH, which manages the cluster, underlined the importance of the award for the positioning of Regensburg as an innovation location and relies on the continuous expansion of the business and science network.
