On July 13, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on Millstätter Straße (B98) in the area of Wiesen, in which three people were involved. A 51-year-old motorcyclist from the Villach-Land district was to overtake a car. Tragically, a 20-year-old driver from the Spittal/Drau district at the same time overtook a vehicle in the opposite direction.
