At the weekend, there are considerable traffic restrictions on the A8 between the Wellesweiler and Neunkirchen-Oberstadt junction towards Luxembourg. Autobahn GmbH carries out important renovation work, which is why the directional lane from Friday, December 6th, from 8 p.m. to Monday, December 9th, is fully blocked around 5 a.m. This was announced by a spokesman for Autobahn GmbH, who also pointed out that a detour of the traffic is necessary. The national traffic towards Luxembourg will be diverted from the Kohlhof junction via L114 - Limbacher Straße and Zweibrücker Straße through Furpach to the Oberstadt junction. Regional traffic comes to Neunkirchen via the Wellesweiler junction.

Important information for road users

Before the larger construction work, there will be a single-streak traffic routing between Wellesweiler and Neunkirchen-Oberstadt from Monday, December 2 to Tuesday, December 3, 2024. The incoming regulation concerns the period from around 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., whereby the traffic is passed past the construction site.
