Heart panel: Dog triggers fire brigade use in Gadebusch!
in Gadebusch, more precisely in Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße, there was a bizarre fire brigade that quickly put the local rescue workers on alarm. Local residents noticed dense smoke that penetrated from an apartment on the first floor, which caused them to alert the emergency services. The fire brigade moved in with three vehicles and 15 emergency services to master the Situation.
When the emergency services arrived at the scene, they already found the rescue workers of the German Red Cross and the police who were waiting there. However, nobody seemed to be in the apartment from which the smoke flocked. All windows were closed, which increased the challenge for the fire brigade again. A first attempt to get into the apartment through a pant guide over the balcony failed.
SCHUME Discovery in the apartment
In view of the circumstances, the firefighters decided to use violence to open the apartment door. As soon as access was made, the cause of the smoldering fire quickly turned out. A pink plastic dog bowl had been left behind on the hob, while the dog was peacefully present and greeted the emergency services in a friendly manner. The dog bowl had melted by the heat of the switched on.
Wehrleiter Sebastian Otto explained what was likely to have happened: "Since nobody was at home, we suspect that the owner had put the dog bowl on the heat to prevent the dog from eating out. But obviously it was disadvantageous. Buttons. ”
In order to quickly remove the smoke development created by the smoldering fire, the emergency services used a large fan in front of the house entrance. This pressed the air through the staircase and the open windows and doors and thus ensured fresh air in the building. Meanwhile, the dog was housed by a neighbor, so that no extinguishing work was required.
