Relief in European space travel! After a dramatic false start almost two years ago, the Vega-C winning rocket successfully withdrawn from the European Space Railway station in Kourou, French Guayana. Josef Aschbacher, the head of the European space authority ESA, spoke of a "triumphal return". This mission is crucial, because Europe can now again independently bring lighter satellites into space!

The Vega-C is not only a further development of the proven Vega rocket, but also a real gamuchanger! Arianespace praised the mission as "perfect", and Giulio Ranzo, the head of the main customer Avio, emphasized: "Tonight we restored the performance of Vega C." This rocket will help Europe to become more competitive and to create the urgently needed capacities for four to six flights per year.

The first commercial flight of Vega C in December 2022 ended in a disaster when a technical problem spent the rocket off the course and it was destroyed in the sea. This setback led to an almost two -year standstill, while the ESA and its partners, especially Avio, thoroughly analyzed and tested problems. The new nozzle, which now comes from France, is intended to increase reliability. Aschbacher explained that the crisis was "absolutely overcome" and the European space travel is now on stable feet.
