During the celebration, ten soldiers were also honored: inside with national awards. Four of them received the country's great signs of earnings, while six received the sign of earnings. These awards appreciate the longstanding use of the Federal Army Loan for the safety of the Salzburg population, especially in crisis situations. State military commander Peter Schinnerl was pleased with the increase in young forces in the army and their motivation to take responsibility. The new military members, including Victoria Eder and Jonas Stadlmann, emphasize the versatility of their tasks and the service to the population as the main motivation for their career choice. Meinzärzirk reported that these fresh forces all come out of demanding training programs and now bring their knowledge into the Salzburg barracks.

As an additional symbol act, the importance of an operational national defense in the current geopolitical situation was emphasized. "The awareness of security and the need for an operational military defense has recently been significantly strengthened due to the crises in the immediate vicinity of Europe," added Haslauer. With this additional staff, the Bundesheer Salzburg supplies an important source of security that is not only focused on national protection, but also on support in the event of a disaster, such as Salzburg24 reported.
