On May 21, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred at 8:44 a.m. on the L1083 in Mehrnbach, which seriously injured two car drivers. The accident took place between a 63-year-old man from the Ried district and a 78-year-old man, also from the Ried district. The 63-year-old drove towards Eitzing and intended to turn left into a house entrance. He overlooked the oncoming car of the 78-year-old, which led to a dramatic frontal collision.
