Brüssel, Belgien - The EU plans a comprehensive Reform of the driving license regulations that are intended to increase both traffic safety and counteract the lack of drivers. The aim of the reform is to reduce the increased number of accidents in which over 20,000 people die in the EU annually. The new regulations stipulate that young people aged 18 and over can acquire a truck driver's license, while bus leaders can only be purchased from the age of 21.
