Future of PR: Ethics and AI in the focus of the PRVA anniversary!

In 2025, the public relations Association Austria (PRVA) celebrates its 50th anniversary and asks central questions about the future of the PR industry at the center of its anniversary events. This year promises a variety of exciting events, including discussions about ethics in the PR and the media, the role of artificial intelligence and the challenges of Greenwashing. The PRVA President Ingrid Gogl emphasizes that this anniversary year is not just about a review, but rather about the outlook how companies can communicate responsibly. On February 27, a panel discussion will take place in which experts discuss how companies can credibly implement their sustainability promises, which is due to the new EU green Claims Directive.

Another important point on the agenda is the communication strategic influence of stars such as Taylor Swift. On March 6th, the event "Communicate Like A Swiftie" will discuss what companies can learn from Taylor's unique marketing strategy in order to create strong brand bonds. The event promises revealing insights into modern communication techniques that shed light on challenges and opportunities in the digital world.
In addition, the communication congress on May 7th in the Vienna Tech Gate will play a central role in the anniversary program, where experts will discuss the responsibility of PR professionals, in particular in a politicalized society. This congress offers a platform for lively discussions to strengthen the dialogue between different social groups.

In addition to the successful program design, the DPRG can benefit from sustainable digitization of communication processes. As reported on DPRG.de, digitization is an opportunity for association members to network independently and efficiently. The exchange of knowledge is promoted with modern communication tools and the CO2 footprint is reduced by reduced trips and resource-saving administrative processes. These steps show that the DPRG wants to be a pioneer for a responsible and sustainable way of working that also takes into account the ecological aspects.
